Match Report: VCFF fall to defeat away to Atletico Madrid (4-1)

The hosts applied a stifling pressure on VCF Femenino who struggled to bring the ball out from the back. Albeit, VCFF managed to shake off that pressure and hit Atletico Madrid on the break through Candela.
Candela broke the deadlock on 21 minutes with a powerful left-footed drive from the penalty arc inside the right-hand post past Lindahl to put VCF Femenino in front. Alas, the advantage was short-lived as Ludmila restored parity just nine minutes later.
Aforementioned Ludmila put Atletico Madrid Feminas in front on the stroke of half-time. The first half finished 2-1 to Atletico Madrid Féminas.
VCF came out in the second half looking to equalise while the hosts were looking to increase their lead with Ludmila and Ajara as their main attacking outlets. The chances were few and far between with 20 minutes plus stoppage time left to play.
Marta Jiménez scored a wretched own goal and Ajibade made it 4-1 to Atletico Madrid Féminas. The match finished 4-1 at the Centro Deportivo Wanda, Alcalá de Henares, Madrid.
